X= A Generation Evolved is filmmaker Rakeda L. Ervin's report on the culture and politics of her own Generation X. This groundbreaking documentary explores Generation X's political involvement over the years, while giving a voice to an overshadowed generation.  In doing so, the documentary addresses the filmmaker's burning question:  Who are the leaders of Generation X?  Rakeda reveals the generation's heroes, values and influences on the world, through research she began documenting during the 2008 presidential election.  X= A Generation Evolved defines a generation of leaders who were stereotyped with negative labels in the 1990s. And the film chronicles the politics of Gen X through 2012.

The film will premiere in the winter of 2013, with distribution on The Documentary Channel and release through film festivals Blu-ray and educational distribution.
